There's not much I hate in sex toy marketing than claims like the above because, repeat after me, folx, Every Body is Different! I wasn't convinced the Eroscillator 2 was going to work for me despite the claims. Perhaps because of the claims since every time a new toy comes out that is essentially 'guaranteed' to get people off in minutes, I am an exception.
The Eroscillator is one of the toys greatly discussed in the realms of sex toy reviewers and has a specific cachet especially since it is one of the brands that is almost always exempted from sales on toy sites. They don't want to dilute their brand by letting the filthy masses get their hands on them, I suppose.
The Eroscillator 2 is damn expensive, though, which is why it has taken years for me to get one, and is why I really really wanted it to be worthy of the hype. When a sex educator as culturally relevent as Dr. Ruth endorses something, you know it must be something special. The base model Eroscillator 2 with Golden Spoon attachment doesn't seem so bad when I look on SheVibe but when I convert to Canadian dollars and add shipping/duties, it is an investment. If I were to go all out and grab the newest Extra Power model with all the attachments, we're looking at at least $350CAD.
The attachments are not available separately, with only 2 exceptions, so you can't really upgrade if you decide to go with the base model the way I did. I feel pretty bitter about that since there's not the option to get the base model to see if you like it before investing more cash for attachments. Thankfully I'm far too professional to let that bitterness come through in my review...
The extra power of the newest model would be a plus because the Eroscillator 2 simply isn't strong enough. Admittedly, I'm a jackhammer fan; it's incredibly difficult for me to get off from external clit stim alone no matter how much a toy oscillates. I found myself wanting to take it apart and put a real motor in it that would give it some oomph because in theory, it's a sound design. The Eroscillator 2 is lightweight to hold and although there is a cord, it's long enough not to be much of an issue to be close enough to an outlet.
The sensation was pleasurable, don't get me wrong. If you're a clit-focused person, especially if you tend to go numb from vibration, the Eroscillator 2 could be a fabulous toy for you. For me, the first time I used it, it felt really nice but I eventually switched to a wand to finish. Finishing was super-quick, though, so it was an excellent warm up toy.
The second attempt I used the Eroscillator 2 for about 20 minutes before eking out a small orgasm. I ended up using the curve of the golden spoon tip inside my vag against my gspot to get the most sensation but I still found myself continually pressing up on the settings slider to see if there wasn't at least one more hidden level. Orgasm came when I finally jammed the tip as hard as possible against the side of my pubic bone to get that required (for me) full clit rumble but after my mild spasms I immediately pulled out my Doxy Die Cast to have 3 more orgasms of the intensity that I wanted.
So I dunno. If you're someone who needs the ultra powerful rumble wands to get you off, save your money and forget the Eroscillator 2. If you're a clit focused person who loves the Zumio or the suction toys like the Womanizer etc. the Eroscillator 2 might be your new fave sexual partner.
