I was super excited to get my hands on the Lucky 7 thrusting vibrator from Tracy’s Dog since it seemed to be the kind of shape that my g-spot has been craving. The Lucky 7 is an insertable dildo with magnetic balls that replicate some thrusting sensation in combination with an external arm that can stimulate the clit (or perineum if you use it anally). Unfortunately, despite my hopes, this toy is another example of ‘great toy, just not for me’.
The the Lucky 7 by Tracy’s Dog is made with velvet smooth silicone in a rich purple with a USB magnetic charger, making it fully waterproof so it can be used in the bath or shower if that is your thing. The internal thrusting portion is incredibly firm due to the magnetic balls so the Lucky 7 although it is not a girthy toy, there’s very little squish in the silicone.
Along with the essential travel lock feature, there are 3 steady vibration modes plus 7 patterns and for the first time in almost any vibrator I tried, I loved the patterns. The insertable portion had different patterns than the external and it made for really pleasurable sensations, much more like partnered sex where there is often different speeds of someone’s tongue and fingers happening at the same time.
The main issue I faced was that I simply couldn’t keep the Lucky 7 by Tracy’s Dog inside my body. It is advertised as being something that could be worn during sex with a partner but unless i physically held it in with my fingers, I immediately squeezed it out. And because the controls are on the base of the toy (as well as the included remote), I kept changing the pattern or turning it off as I tried to hold it inside me. It was frustrating to have to cycle back through the patterns to find the one I was enjoying every time I did it until I learned to straddle the button with my fingers. Perhaps the right pair of underpants or a harness hold it in place and solve that problem? It also doesn't thrust like many of the toys that actually extend and contract but instead causes a pleasurable thumping sensation more like the Stronic series from Fun Factory.
Since I don’t have the same anatomical measurements as whomever it had been designed for I had a hard time keeping the clitoral portion on my clit unless I forcibly bent it down a little and the combination of holding the dildo portion in and bending down the clitoral arm just didn’t lead to sexy orgasm times. That’s not an issue with the manufacturing of the Lucky 7 by Tracy’s Dog but just a case of “not all bodies are the same”. I’ve loved toys that haven’t worked for others in the past for similar reasons. That long arm does make it safe to use anally since it prevents any potential loss of the toy inside the body.
So although there was much I liked about the Lucky 7 by Tracy’s Dog, especially those pattern settings that really did keep the sensations interesting and exciting, it simply wasn’t for me.
