I dream of the day where I don't need to begin reviews of toys without ever having to include a 'please ignore the gendered marketing on this great toy', especially for those that are designed for people with penises. This is not that day. I present the Satisfyer Men Wand.
There is so much to love about this rechargeable, cordless wand but it is impossible to talk about it without addressing the name - stop gendering your toys like this, toy companies! This is a great vibrator for anyone of any gender, regardless of whether or not they've got a penis, so Satisfyer is really missing out by limiting their audience by this gendered nonsense. It's one of the toys I've most wanted to use from merely picking up so it sucks to have to add the above caveat to my review.
The Satisfyer Wand is a great design. It is well-balanced when you hold the handle, which is important both in sword play and sex play, and is light enough to hold easily but feels heavy enough to know there's decent motor in it. For those of us who are aficionados of Rumble, that weight and motor size is essential. The silicone - black, of course, since that is the only colour allowed for toys marketed to 'men' - is velvet soft which always makes me want to stroke and explore the shape of a toy, and the more I want to touch it, the more I want to use it.
Initial stage testing was with my partner Flick and his response to me making contact with the Wand was a surprised and happy 'Ohhhh!' The different contact points of the toy made for a lot of variety in possible sensations and I enjoyed testing out the different noises I could encourage him to make by using mostly the visibly-vibrating wings, focusing the rumbly head below his balls, or lubing up his shaft and stroking the length of his dick with the inside curve of the Wand as vibration ran through him and the fluttery wings added to the sensation. Since nipple stimulation is one of Flick's favourite things, the wings were an excellent way to tease and amp up his excitement.
I often find it awkward to use a vibration toy on a partner since they can be difficult to manipulate but I found the Wand really nice to use together. It was light enough that it was easy to hold and position and the variety of surfaces meant I could change things up if my painful shoulder started acting up.
Since I'm never going to pass up a chance to use a wand on myself I spend some quality time testing out the Wand solo and found the broad head and rumbly vibrations on its lower settings to be excellent on my stubborn clit. The higher settings got progressively buzzier and like many toys I got lost in the pattern mode as I cycled through and found I had to turn it off and start again.
The biggest drawback I found (other than the name) is that the black silicone meant the buttons are hard to see in the dark and are not that palpably distinctive so I wasn't able to simply feel my way to changing things up. Having to remove a toy from my junk and hold it up to the light to see the buttons is more than a bit of a disruption in playtime.
For those looking for a versatile rechargeable wand at a really decent price point, the Satisfyer Wand is a great option, as long as you're not going to feel dysphoria while buying a gendered product. Otherwise I'd suggest sticking with the brands that are more clued in.
